Starting in the early 90s, Jason has had a prolific career in the creative arts. The culinary arts were a natural extension of his visual and performance art. Jason’s artistic and creative experience was evident in his plating design and flavor profiles. Whimsical, ‘with a twist’, interpretations of classic dishes were his specialty. For Jason, food is simply another medium in which flavor can be as expressive to the mouth as paint is to the eyes or music to the ears. He studied and trained study at the CSCA, Le Cordon Bleu program concentrating on baking and pastry. Working as a chef since 2004 with some of the best in the business, as head pastry chef at Joe’s Of Venice Beach under Chefs Joe Miller and Joshua Gil, and for "caterer to the stars" Gary Arabia at Global Cuisine in Hollywood just to name a few. Jason also opened his own Bay Area specialty shop, Bakeshop Oakland.

Building on his experiences and journey in the music, entertainment and culinary worlds over the last 20 years, Jason has returned his focus to creating his own personal art. With a passion for gripping visual oddities and palette that echoes the colors and textures of food and confections, his newest paintings coax the viewer into discussions about familiar but difficult emotions around various methods of self examination.
